Absolute Eosinophil Count To Check For A Disease

download (39)An absolute eosinophils count is a kind of blood test specially performed to chart the number of white blood cells called eosinophils present in the body as these eosinophils charge up in case a person suffers from an allergic disease, an infection or any other medical condition. The test can also be done to monitor the ongoing treatment against parasites.

Low Number of Eosinophils

A low count of eosinophils in the blood is likely to happen if a person is suffering from Cushing syndrome, bloodstream infection or treatment with corticosteroids. Though a low number does not signify that the individual surely has a disease as the other parts of the immune system, compensate adequately.

High Number of Eosinophils

Some of the common causes of increased count are as follows:-

  • Allergic disorder
  • Particular type of cancer, or
  • Parasitic infections.

In case the count is only slightly elevated, people do not show any symptoms, and the high count is detected only when a complete blood count is done for some other purpose. However, if the count is very high, the increased number of eosinophils can inflame the tissues and even cause organ damage. The heart, skin, lungs and the nervous system are the most commonly affected parts.

Prepare for the Test

No particular preparation is required for an absolute eosinophils test. However, certain medications must not be taken before the test as they can affect the test results. Medicines which should be avoided are as follows:

  • Appetite suppressors (Amphetamines)
  • Certain kind of laxative consisting psyllium
  • Interferon
  • Tranquilizers
  • Certain type of antibiotics.

Normal Results

Any count between 50 to 400 cells per microliter (cell/mcL) is considered to be a normal result. On the other hand, if the count is higher than the specified upper value, can be associated with the following diseases:

  • Asthma
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Hay fever
  • Leukemia
  • Eczema

In case the count is less than the specified lower value, it may be due to

  • Alcohol intoxication
  • Over production of certain kind of steroids in the body.

How the Test will Feel?

Being a kind of blood test, an Absolute Eosinophils Count test is easy to perform. The patient will feel a little uneasiness only when the needle is inserted in one of the veins for drawing blood. Post that, there might just be a bruise at the point of prick which disappears after a short while. The test is safe to perform and does not pose any such health risks.

The Zika Virus and the Olympic Games Committee

download (36)While it looms as a major health threat for the world the Zika virus is not a big enough issue in the minds of the Olympic Games Committee. It refuses to move the venue or postpone the Olympics to another time and the World Health Organisation appears to have buckled under the weight of the money invested. What is it they don’t understand. This disease threatens the life of babies and may spread throughout the world bringing a disaster from which we may never recover.

The long-term effect of the virus is also unknown and mutation of it into something more tragic is also likely. Once people infected with it return to their homelands its spread is virtually assured. So what are we talking about here.

The virus is the result of a mosquito bite and it has already spread beyond the borders of Brazil where it first came to the world’s attention. Because of the constant travel of organisers and others in and out of the country, as well as the neighbouring nations where it has also spread, it has already arrived in China, Africa, the Pacific Islands, and even in Australia with travellers.

It is known to be picked up by mosquitos in the tropical and subtropical regions who will then go on to bite other hosts. It is responsible for the microcephaly in babies whose heads are malformed and brains greatly reduced in size. Many of these infants have difficulty with vision while other impairments are prominent. In children born with such a condition life expectancy is greatly reduced.

Some babies will die in the first year of life, which is a heartbreaking scenario for parents. Other will need looking after for the during of their time on earth and the longest they have been known to live is 35 years. The handicaps they face and the drain on the communities that will support them is huge.

Brazil is predominantly a Catholic country and family planning, contraceptives, and abortions are all banned. With memory of my reincarnation and wisdom to know that this religion and others born of it are nothing but make-believe dreams passed down from ancestral sun-worshipers it is easy to see a purpose in God’s plan.

We are in the last days and that is obvious from all that is taking place. Not least of these is the way nations are lining up to fight out their disputes. Coupled with climate change and global warming that will no doubt produce more deadly diseases the world is on a losing streak of major proportions.

Money is not the only thing that has sprung this trap as ignorance and a willingness to follow blindly in the wake of misguided leadership is a human trait.

Deadly Mosquito Borne Viral Diseases

download (34)The statistics are scary when one compares the number of deaths from mosquito borne viruses to that of the deadly Ebola, which has recently killed over 1,000 in central and west Africa. It is the most dangerous animal or insect in the world and its potential to strike anyone anywhere makes it a greater spreader of death than any air-borne disease, such as the flu which is also one of the major killers in the world.

According to recent statistics viruses spread by mosquitoes such as dengue, West Nile, and yellow fever kill over 50,000 worldwide per year while malaria kills over 600,000. It is estimated that 40% of the world’s population or 2.5 billion people are at risk, according to the Center for Diseases Control (CDC).

These diseases are usually the result of tropical mosquitoes that tend to be the most dangerous but with climate change and global warming they are spreading into new areas. They are also adapting to colder regions, as noticed in Australia where Ross Rover fever is now found in sub-tropical regions and as far south as New South Wales.

No one can stop global travel and it is inevitable that mosquito borne diseases will mutate as they are transported within hours of infection. In times past the slower boats and even aircraft would have ensured that infected carriers would have been detected before their arrival or, at least, soon after. That would allow containment to have been practiced.

Now it can be days before symptoms occur and by that time many mosquitoes and other carriers would have picked up the seeds to transmit to others.

My reincarnation awakened me to many of the things that are now happening as I believe that all who have lived before are back in bodies at this time. It is foretold in Job 5:19-22 and Isaiah 26:19 that this will happen and I am well versed in prophecies that have been my passion for years. The great jump in population has been rather sudden over the last few decades and is confirmation of them.

Also in agreement is the appearance of the Internet which is promised in Micah 4:1 as the Mountain of God. It is reaching all people everywhere and they are able to access all the information required to discover the truth.

It was also noticed that at the end of the day we would be trapped unable to prevent the final onslaught, and that is certainly what is happening with viruses spread by mosquitos and in the holding of the Olympic Games. Money is at the root of man’s folly and it’s helping to bring the world as we know it to an end.

Why A Glomerular Filtration Test Is Performed

download (38)The kidney is one of the most vital organs, failure of which can cause a significant threat to an individual’s life. If you face symptoms of kidney disease, immediately visit a doctor and get necessary tests done. Of the many tests performed to study the proper functionality of kidneys, a GFR test is the best and most accurate one. It helps measure the amount of creatinine present in the blood, a breakdown product which is filtered out by the kidneys. The test is also utilized to analyze the stage of kidney damage. The higher the presence of creatinine, the higher is the stage of the disease.

How is the test performed?

A sample of blood is needed to carry out the GFR test. As mentioned above, the blood tests for the level of creatinine along with several other factors to estimate the glomerular filtration rate. Different formulas are used for analyzing the condition in children and adult. The formula includes the following:-

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Ethnicity
  • Blood creatinine measurement

Test Preparations

It is quite possible that your doctor may ask you to stop your regular medications for they can affect the test results. These medications include stomach acid medicines and antibodies. Do not discontinue your medications without talking to your doctor. Also, inform the doctor if you are pregnant as the test result is affected by pregnancy.

Normal Test results

As per the National Kidney Foundation, normal test results typically range between 90 to 120mL/min/1.73 m2. Aged individuals can have lower than normal GFR levels because it decreases with progressing age.

Abnormal Test Results

A level below 60 mL/min/1.73 m2 for consecutive three months or more are a sign of fatal kidney disease. On the other hand, a GFR less than 15 mL/min/1.73 m2 is considered a sign of kidney failure and must be treated immediately.

How will the test feel?

Arteries and veins differ in size from one person to the other and from one side of the body to the other. Obtaining a sample of blood can be normal for some but painful for many. The prick can feel a bit stingy. Once the blood is drawn, there might be a slight bruise which soon disappears. The test does not pose any health risks as such if performed using sanitized needle and new injections.

Alternative Risk Factors

There are many other reasons why you may develop a kidney disease. Some of them are as follows:

  • Diabetes
  • Family history of kidney diseases
  • Heart disease
  • Frequent urine tract infections
  • High blood pressure
  • Urinary blockage

The Shadow of Osteoporosis

images (17)One of the realities of getting older for some people is osteoporosis. This is a serious condition, a bone disease in fact, and not to be confused with the natural tendency to lose bone density as we age. Osteo refers to bones and porosis to being porous, so porous bones are the appropriately named effects of this condition. There are ways to treat osteoporosis, as well as manage the pain, but the disease is not inevitable. Proper habits can slow and even prevent bone loss as we get older.

What Are the Odds?

While not inevitable, osteoporosis is actually quite common, particularly among women (who have a tendency to lose bone mass at higher rates men). It’s not just a matter of losing bone density, though. When seen under a microscope, healthy bone looks like a honeycomb. Bones suffering from osteoporosis have bigger holes and spaces in the honeycomb pattern, which is why they are brittle.

There are factors that you can control that put you at greater risk of osteoporosis, and there are factors that you cannot control.

Controllable Factors

    • Malnutrition: If you don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables, you are missing out on vital nutrients for bone health

      • Vitamin D deficiency (also caused by not enough sun exposure)
      • Calcium deficiency

    • Too much protein

    • Too much caffeine

    • Too much sodium

    • Inactive lifestyle: Regular moderate exercise is absolutely essential for maintaining strong bones

    • Smoking

    • Drinking too much alcohol

  • Significant weight loss

Uncontrollable Factors

  • Advancing age: Risk of osteoporosis increases significantly after the age of 50
  • Being a woman: Sorry ladies, but you all have a greater tendency to lose bone mass than men do, particularly after menopause, which leads me to…
  • Menopause: Hormonal changes in the body affect calcium absorption into bone
  • Runs in the family: If you have a family history of osteoporosis, your risk is greater

What are the Signs?

Unfortunately, you cannot feel osteoporosis in the sense of losing bone density or weakening bones. Often the first sign of this particular disease involves broken bones. Hips are particularly susceptible, as are the wrists and spine. Osteoporosis in the spine can also cause a person to lose height. If a person notices that they are shorter than they were before, it could be an indication of osteoporosis.

Pain can also be an indicator, though it can be hard to tell whether or not it is the result of other factors. Even without broken bones, the pain of osteoporosis can limit a person’s mobility which in turn affects their self-sufficiency. One of the most common fears of getting older is losing one’s independence.

Zika Virus Carried in Semen

download (35)Women have been infected with the Zika virus by men who have recently travelled to South American countries where the disease is active. Dallas County Health and Human Services noted recently that a person was infected after sexual contact with a male who had recently returned from Venezuela. It was confirmed by the Center for Diseases Control on February 2nd and with this information comes a warning to all who will travel to the Olympic Games.

It’s the cause of microcephaly, which is a condition that causes small heads or craniosynostosis. The latter is a condition in which the joints of the bones in the cranium close prematurely resulting in a shrunken head and small brain. There is no cure as the brain cannot be enlarged even if the skull could.

This is a major health issue and the organisers of the Olympic Games are risking spreading this disease throughout the world. While it is carried by mosquitoes it is easily transmitted when an infected person is bitten by an insect capable of taking it on board and passing it on.

The list of deadly mosquito borne diseases is greater than this, however, as they include dengue fever, Nile River fever, and Yellow Fever, among others. All are known to exist among the insects in the regions of South America, Africa, and parts of the Pacific nations including China where the Zika virus has also spread.

The question is should it be up to the World Health Organisation to stop the games or should the responsibility be on those who intend to take part in them or to be there as observers. With travel being what it is today there is no chance of quarantine in regards to those returning to countries now free of such diseases as there once was.

With memory of reincarnation and a link to the Spirit of the Universe it is my opinion that we are in the last days and that spreading this and other viruses around is part of bringing life as we know it to an end.

What Every Alcoholic Should Know

download (37)What is ‘Wet Brain’?

Wet brain is more than just an alcohol soaked brain. Did you know that it is a very real and very serious brain disorder called Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome? Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome (WKS) is caused by severe malnourishment, and is due to lack of vitamin B1. It is most commonly seen in alcoholics and others who are severely malnourished. This can include people suffering from anorexia and bulimia, as well.

In the alcoholic, WKS often goes undetected because the signs are often mistaken for intoxication. If you understand what Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome is, and recognize the warning signs early enough, it can be treated and the progression can be halted.

What Are The Symptoms Of Wet Brain?

Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome is actually two separate syndromes-Wornicke’s Encephalopathy and Korsakoff’s Psychosis-named after the doctors that discovered them. The two overlap and develop almost simultaneously, making the symptoms look like a single illness. It is important to understand the signs and symptoms of both parts of this illness in order to know how far the disease has progressed, and determine what treatment is necessary.

Wernicke’s Encephalopathy:

Phase one of this illness is the part that begins to affect the brain. You will see these symptoms begin to appear:

  • Slowed eye movements, lazy eye, droopy lids, rapid eye movements, such as flicking eyes side to side, blinking
  • Loss of muscle coordination, staggering, loss of balance
  • Confusion, loss of short term memory and intellect
  • Lethargy, depression, inability to pay attention
  • Tremors in the hands and feet, then the arms and legs
  • Muscle twitching and muscle pain

Because these symptoms so closely mimic drunkenness, they go unnoticed until the alcoholic is able to maintain a significant length of sobriety. It is only then, when the symptoms can no longer be blamed on intoxication, that it becomes apparent that something else is wrong.

Korsakoff’s Psychosis:

Phase two develops as phase one symptoms go away. Here are the symptoms you may see:

  • Progressive memory loss, amnesia (permanently lost memories)
  • Confusion, difficulty learning or grasping new information, forgetting things that happened only moments ago
  • Confabulation, lying to compensate for the fact that they can’t remember things

Can Wet Brain Be Cured?

At this point, stage two, the damage is usually not reversible. Most never recover from the effects of WKS, like memory loss, that started with the first symptoms of Wernicke’s. Treatment, at this point, is crucial to control the symptoms and keep them from getting worse. This is a progressive disease; it will only get worse as time goes on. It is a type of dementia similar to Alzheimer’s that is not reversible and eventually causes death. Nearly 20% of those who develop it will die due to leaving it untreated. Treated, however, it can be slowed or halted.

Treatment

Treatment consists of reversing the thiamin deficiency by giving thiamin supplement by injection at first, then orally. Hospitalization may be necessary at this time, until some health is restored to the patient. Thiamin treatments started this late will not improve any loss of memory or intellect, but may improve the person’s thinking and clear some of the confusion. They are also finding that some drugs used to treat Alzheimer’s may help improve some of the memory damage, but studies concerning that are still in progress.

Sgpt Test – To Map The Functionality Of The Liver

images (16)The liver is one of the primary and largest internal organs of the body that practically performs more than 500 functions vital for the human body to survive. Known as the chemical factory of the body, the liver processes almost everything that we eat, drink, and apply on the skin and even the air that we breathe in. Briefly, some of the vital functions of the liver are as follows:-

  • Detoxification of the blood.
  • Produces vital clotting elements, albumin, and many other essential proteins.
  • Processes medications and nutrients.
  • Processes waste materials present in hemoglobin and other cells.
  • Stores vitamins, cholesterol, fats, etc.
  • Produces glucose.

An infection or disease in this organ can not only affect the activities it performs but also put an impact on the functionality of other organs of the body as well. To map the proper working of liver, special tests are done. An initial step in detecting an injury or damage to the organ is a simple blood test to determine the level of some liver enzymes in the blood. While under normal conditions, these enzymes stay intact in the cells itself. But in the event of an injury for any reason, these enzymes are released into the blood streams.

Among the many tests that are performed to chart the healthy working of the liver, SGPT test is one of the best to perform. A simple blood test, it measures the level of alanine transaminase (ALT), a type of enzyme produced in the liver which is released into the blood stream when tissues are damaged. The enzyme is also known as serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase, or SGPT.

The test is easy to perform and gets over in a matter of few minutes. A small amount of blood is drawn from a vein in your arm which is then sent to the lab for testing. The standard range of values for ALT (SGPT) is about 7 to 56 units per litre of serum. Please note the range can slightly differ from one pathology lab to the other.

In case the ALT level is higher than the standard range specified above, the following may be the reasons of cause:-

  • Excess consumption of alcohol
  • Mononucleosis
  • Liver or Gallbladder disease such as liver cancer, liver failure or stones in gallbladder
  • A muscle injury
  • Certain medications taken within 24-48 hours of the test performed

The level may be much higher than the standard value, in case of:-

  • A liver damage from an acute viral infection like hepatitis.
  • A liver damage due to the intake of certain medicines.

The SGPT blood test results are only a small part of the wider picture that takes into consideration the patient’s medical history, current health issues and physical examination in understanding the extent of damage or disease in the organ.

Aiding the Spread of Disease

download (31)Mosquito borne diseases are in the headlines because of the Zika virus and many will be surprised to learn how it was spread to Brazil and why it is now a major problem. Its origin was the Zika forest in Africa and is came about as a result of an experiment which involved injecting a rhesus monkey with yellow fever. Within a short six to seven-year period it showed up in other parts of Africa and then Asia. Nothing was said about it and as there were so few cases there was no health alert.

Obviously it continued to be spread among animals as they are frequently bitten by the infected insects and ‘bush meat’, which comprises of apes taken from the jungle. The same infected mosquitoes also bit humans and transferred the Zika virus to those who subsequently travelled to other areas, including those where it spread even further. A major outbreak occurred on the Yap island in the Melanesian group in the early part of the 21st century.

It was the FIFA world-cup, however, that brought huge crowds from all areas to Brazil in 2014. This is how the epidemic started and why it is not a good idea to attend the Olympic Games. As it is also a sexually transmitted disease known to be harboured in semen and transferred to partners it is something that will have major consequences after the Games and may affect the entire world.

Religion plays a big part in the spread of such diseases because of the ignorance and ban on contraceptives and safe sex. The Catholic Church is among the worst of these organisations and Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, and other nations where the Spaniards colonised them, will follow Vatican orders.

In a world where disasters are now common place and there are signs that we are in the last days there is not much that can be done to stop it all rom happening. After my reincarnation my spiritual link grew substantially until given a commission to remove the wall of blindness. It was followed by many visions that confirmed the future end of the earth as we know it.

While there are so many authorities, governments, religious orders, and others running the world there is no hope of stopping the stupidity that is the product of money and power. It is what runs the World Order set in place by the Roman Emperor, Constantine, who established the Catholic Church in 325 AD, and it is still run on his principles and under his commands. He is 666 in Revelation 13:12-18 and everyone has heard of him.
